Run your salon from a chat: book, reschedule and block time by typing
The Bookatu admin has an assistant you can talk to in plain words. Type what you want and it books, reschedules or blocks time for you, shows you the change first, and never touches your calendar until you confirm.
It is a Tuesday and you are halfway through a colour. Your phone buzzes on the counter. A regular wants to move her Thursday appointment to Friday, and while you are at it you remember you need to block Friday afternoon for a dentist trip. None of that is hard. It is just a few small trips into the admin, and right now your hands are full. So it waits, and by the time you are free you have half-forgotten the details.
Type it the way you would say it
The Bookatu admin has an assistant you can talk to in plain words. You do not learn a command language or hunt through menus. You type the thing you would have said to a receptionist. Book Priya in for a gel manicure on Thursday at two. Move my three o'clock to Friday morning. Block Friday afternoon off. The assistant works out which appointment, which service and which slot you mean, and gets it ready.
It shows you the change before it makes it
This is the part that makes it safe to use while you are distracted. The assistant does not just go ahead. It proposes the change and shows you exactly what it is about to do: the client, the service, the day and the time. You read it, and if it is right you confirm. If it read you wrong, you correct it or throw it away. Nothing touches your calendar until you say yes. The model suggests, and you are the one who decides.
Because it reads your real availability, the slot it offers is a slot you can actually work. It will not book two clients into the same chair at once, and it will not offer a time you have already blocked. If what you asked for does not fit, it tells you instead of forcing it.
The jobs it saves you the most on
- Booking. Give it the client, the service and roughly when, and it finds the slot and sets up the appointment for you to confirm.
- Rescheduling. Tell it which appointment to move and where to, and it shifts it and frees the old slot back up.
- Blocking time. Ask it to hold an afternoon, a morning or a whole day, and that time stops being bookable until you open it again.
These are the small interruptions that pile up across a shift. On their own each takes a minute. Added up across a busy week they are the reason you are still doing admin after closing.
The assistant is not there to run your salon for you. It is there so the ten small changes a day stop waiting until you are too tired to make them.
It stays on your side of the counter
This assistant is for you and your team, not your clients. It lives in the admin, behind your login, and it only does the jobs you have given it. It is not answering the public or improvising your policies at a stranger. It is a faster way for the person who runs the business to run the business.
And if it ever does something you did not mean, there is an Undo. One tap puts things back the way they were. That safety net is what lets you use it without hovering over every change.
What it costs to try
The assistant runs inside the monthly AI allowance that comes with your plan, and your usage page shows how much of it you have used. Nothing is charged silently. If running your admin by typing a sentence sounds better than tapping through screens with your hands full, you can start free and try it on your own calendar. The next time your phone buzzes mid-service, you can deal with it in one line and get back to the chair.
