Moving or reassigning a booking
Drag a booking to a new time, or move it to another staff member, in a few taps.
What it is
Two quick ways to shift a booking on the calendar. Drag a booking block to a new time, and if you like into another staff member's column, to reschedule it. Or move it to a different staff member while keeping the same time. As the owner you can push the move through even outside your open hours, so you can squeeze in an early or late client.
Why it helps
Reshuffling a day takes a few taps, not a phone call or a rebooking. A client runs late, a stylist calls in sick, two appointments clash, and you fix it in one move. The client's record updates with it. The one thing the app stops is putting two bookings on the same staff member at the exact same start time, so you cannot accidentally double-book one person.
How to use it
- 1Open Today, then Calendar, and find the booking on the day view.
- 2To change the time, drag the booking block up or down. On a computer, to change the time and the staff member at once, drag it across into another staff column. It snaps to the nearest 15 minutes, and you will see an 'Appointment moved' confirmation.
- 3To keep the same time but hand it to someone else, tap the booking to open its details, then under 'Move to another staff member' pick a name and choose Move. This is the way to reassign on a phone, where the calendar shows one staff member at a time.
- 4You can also do both from the appointment's own page. Open it from Appointments, then use Reschedule to pick a new date and time, or Move to staff to reassign it while keeping the time.
- 5Moving outside your open hours is fine. The greyed early-morning and after-close areas still accept a booking, so an early or late client fits in.
- 6Only upcoming bookings can be dragged. Cancelled, completed and no-show appointments are locked, so open the appointment and use Reschedule to rebook that client instead.
