Book several services in one visit
Let a client book a colour then a cut as one visit, with one confirmation, one deposit and one checkout.
What it is
A visit is two to four different services for one client, one straight after another, with the same person or different people. Each service is still its own booking on your calendar, marked Visit 1/2, Visit 2/2 and so on. To the client it is one visit: one confirmation listing every service, one reminder, one deposit, one booking link and one checkout at the till.
Why it helps
Clients book the whole appointment in one go instead of booking each service and hoping the times line up. Bookatu only offers start times where every service fits back to back, so nobody waits around between services. At the till you check out the whole visit as one sale.
How to use it
- 1Clients can't book a visit until you switch it on. Open Settings, then Several services in one visit, turn on 'Clients can book several services in one visit' and tap Save. You need the Manage permission, which owners and admins have by default.
- 2On your booking page the client picks their first service. On the date and time step they tap Add another service and choose what comes next, up to 4 services. Only times where the whole visit fits are shown, and the review lists each service with its start time and price. On your website widget, 'Book several services in one visit' opens your full booking page in a new tab.
- 3Your team can always book a visit, whatever the setting. Open New booking, or drag across a staff column on the Calendar, pick the first service, then tap + Add another service. Each row has its own person or Any available. If the visit does not fit, the form names the service, the time and the person that is the problem.
- 4The client gets one confirmation and one reminder for the whole visit. If they book online and you take deposits, they pay one deposit: each service's deposit added up, but never more than the first service costs.
- 5From their booking link the client moves or cancels the whole visit at once. A move keeps each person and counts once against 'Most times one booking can be moved online'. If you have 'Client moves need approval too' turned on, the client is asked to contact you to move a visit.
- 6Tap Check out on any service in the visit. It becomes one sale with a line for each service, credited to the person who did it. On the calendar each service is still its own booking, so dragging or cancelling one there changes only that service.
