Remove someone from your team and sign them out
When someone leaves, remove their login, sign them out and close what they set up at your business in one go.
What it is
Remove and sign out is a button on a person's row under Settings, then Team, in Who can sign in. Before anything happens it shows a summary of what they have at your business: upcoming bookings, API keys and connected apps they made, and calendar connections. When you confirm, their login here is removed, the keys and apps they made stop working, their calendar sync is disconnected, and their upcoming bookings go to the person you choose or are left unassigned.
Why it helps
Someone who has left should not keep a way in. Doing it in one step means nothing is forgotten, like a key they made for an integration or a calendar link that still shows your bookings. Nothing is cancelled and their history is kept, and other businesses they belong to are not affected.
How to use it
- 1Open Settings, then Team, and scroll to Who can sign in. The owner, and admins who can manage the team, see Remove and sign out on other people's rows. It is never on your own row, an admin never sees it on an owner's row, and it is never on the last owner's.
- 2Tap Remove and sign out and read the summary. Their login here is removed, so they are signed out of this business on their next click, on the web and in the phone app. Any API keys, connected apps, Google Calendar connection and calendar link they have here are listed.
- 3If they have upcoming bookings, choose one: Move them to a team member who can be booked, or Leave them unassigned for you to reassign on the calendar. Each keeps its time and nothing is cancelled. If the person you choose already has a booking at the same time, that one is left unassigned instead. Handing bookings over needs someone who can edit the calendar.
- 4If they have a card on your booking page, leave Take them off the booking page too ticked so clients can no longer book them. Their card moves to Removed with its history, and can be restored.
- 5Tap Remove and sign out with their name. The Done screen lists what happened and anything left to sort out, such as bookings they share with someone else or classes they teach, which stay as they are.
- 6The plain Remove button only removes the login and leaves their keys and apps working. If that happens, the Security page shows Nothing left behind by people who have left until you revoke them.
