Write blog posts with your own AI
Get a ready prompt for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or any other AI, paste its answer back, and Bookatu fills in the post for you to check.
What it is
Use your own AI sits at the top of the blog post editor. You give it a title and a few words on what the post should cover, and it builds a prompt you paste into the AI you already use. When you paste the AI's whole reply back, it fills in the title, excerpt, body, search title, search description and tags.
Why it helps
You can write with the AI you already know, and it uses no Bookatu AI credits. The prompt carries only your business name, type, city and website language, never client details, and asks the AI not to make up prices, offers, opening hours or staff names. Nothing goes live until you publish it.
How to use it
- 1Open Grow, then Blog, and tap New post, or open a post to edit it. Blog is in the menu for owners and admins.
- 2Tap Use your own AI. Type a Title (2 to 140 characters) and, under 'What should it cover?', a few words on who it is for and the main points. Tap Generate prompt, then Copy prompt.
- 3Paste the prompt into ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or any other AI. Copy its whole reply, paste it under 'Paste the AI's answer' and tap Fill the post. If the post already has different words, you are asked 'Replace what is there?' first. Tap Yes, replace or Keep what is there.
- 4Check what was filled in. The title and body are replaced. The body is cut at 50,000 characters, the excerpt at 300, the search title at 70 and the search description at 200, and you get up to 6 lowercase tags of up to 24 characters each. Any raw HTML is removed. If the answer has no excerpt, search title, search description or tags, what you had stays.
- 5If the reply cannot be read, nothing changes and you see what to fix, for example an answer with no title or no post body. Ask the AI again and paste its new reply.
- 6Filling the post does not save or publish it. Tap Save draft to keep working, or Publish to put it on your storefront. On a post that is already live, Save changes publishes your edits straight away. The built-in AI buttons beside Excerpt and Body ('Write it for me', or 'Polish my wording' once there is text) and 'Suggest with AI' under Search & sharing still work alongside it.
