Let AI tools read Bookatu's guides
Give ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot or Perplexity Bookatu's real help and developer docs through llms.txt, markdown copies and a docs MCP server that needs no key.
What it is
Bookatu publishes its help centre, blog, engineering blog and developer docs in forms AI tools read easily. /llms.txt lists every page with a link to its markdown copy, /llms-full.txt carries the content in full, and every help, blog and engineering page, and /developers, has a plain markdown copy at its address plus .md. A public docs MCP server at https://bookatu.com/api/mcp/docs lets any MCP client search them with no API key.
Why it helps
When you or your developer ask an AI tool how Bookatu works, it can answer from the real guides instead of guessing. The assistant in your dashboard uses the same guides, so a how-do-I question gets the real steps and a link to the guide.
How to use it
- 1Give an AI tool https://bookatu.com/llms.txt as the index, or https://bookatu.com/llms-full.txt for one file with full guides, FAQ answers and the complete API reference.
- 2For one page, add .md to its address, for example https://bookatu.com/help/deposits.md or https://bookatu.com/developers.md. A translated guide has its copy under its market, such as /de-de/help/deposits.md. Each copy starts with front matter naming the page, its language and its dates, so the tool can cite it.
- 3In an MCP client, add the server https://bookatu.com/api/mcp/docs. It needs no API key or sign-in, can only read, and never sees a business's data. Its tools are search_help, get_help_article, search_blog and get_blog_post. Pass section engineering for the engineering blog, and language for any of the 14 help languages.
- 4To act on your own business, such as checking availability or making a booking, use the business MCP server at https://bookatu.com/api/mcp with an API key instead (see Developer API and AI agents).
- 5The main AI crawlers, including GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and Bingbot (which grounds Microsoft Copilot), may read these public pages. robots.txt keeps them out of admin, account, sign-in and client pages.
- 6In your dashboard, owners and admins can ask the assistant a how-do-I question. It answers from up to three matching help guides, in your business's language, and adds a Help guide link and an Open in your dashboard link under the reply.
