Bookings

Let clients book from their own AI assistant

A client's own AI assistant can find a free time with you and hold it. The client confirms by email before anything is booked.

What it is

Bookatu runs a public booking server that a person's own AI assistant can connect to. When a client asks their assistant for a time with you, it looks you up from your booking link and checks your free times. It then holds the time the client picks. Bookatu emails the client a code and a link. Nothing is booked until the client gives the code to their assistant, or opens the link and confirms.

Why it helps

More people hand everyday errands to an assistant, and a booking is one of them. Your free times and prices stay exactly as they are on your booking page, and if you accept bookings by hand, a booking from an assistant arrives as a request. Bookatu never takes payment in a chat. A service that takes a deposit is booked on your booking page, and the assistant gives the client the link.

How to use it

  1. 1Open Settings, then Clients' AI assistants. If a checklist shows at the top, each line says what your business still needs before assistants can hold a time with you, and what to do about it.
  2. 2Tick None of my services are health or medical care, when that is true of your business. Assistants can't book health services, and we record who ticked it and when.
  3. 3Switch on Let clients' AI assistants book me.
  4. 4To be found when a client's assistant searches by service and town, also switch on List me when assistants search. Without it, an assistant can still hold a time with you when a client gives it your booking link.
  5. 5Under Services assistants can't book, pick anything you would rather clients book on your booking page.
  6. 6Check What an assistant sees, which is what an assistant is told when it looks you up. To stop at any time, switch Let clients' AI assistants book me off again.
