Stripe is not working
Fixes for the common Stripe snags: connection, charges and payouts.
What it is
Stripe is what charges cards for deposits and online sales. Most problems come down to three things: still being in test mode, an account that is not fully switched on, or bank details Stripe still needs.
Why it helps
Knowing which of the three it is gets payments working again in minutes, so you stop losing online bookings and sales.
How to use it
- 1Nothing charges, or it is all pretend money: you are in test mode. Test mode is practice with no real money. Switch to live mode to take real payments.
- 2Stripe says charges are not enabled: your Stripe account is not fully activated yet. Finish the setup steps in your Stripe dashboard, usually a few details about you and your business.
- 3Payouts are pending or stuck: add or confirm your bank account in Stripe. Your first payout also takes a little longer while Stripe checks your account.
- 4Still stuck: open Settings, Payments to confirm Stripe is connected, then reach out to us.
