Tags for clients and bookings
Label clients and bookings with your own tags, like VIP or Patch test done, then filter by them, spot them on the calendar and email a tagged group.
What it is
Tags are your team's own labels, such as VIP, Patch test done or Bridal. Each one has a name, a colour and what it is for: clients, bookings or both. They show on the calendar, the client list and each booking, filter your client list, and can be the audience of an email campaign.
Why it helps
What your team keeps in their heads becomes visible to everyone at a glance. A tag on the calendar tells whoever is on shift what to expect, and a tagged group of clients is one tap away when you want to email them.
How to use it
- 1Open Clients and tap Tags. Under Add a tag, type a Name, up to 40 characters, and choose For: Clients and bookings, Clients only or Bookings only. Pick a Colour and tap Add tag. A business can have up to 200 tags. Making and changing tags needs Manage the business.
- 2To tag a client, open them from Clients, choose a tag under Add a tag in their Tags section and tap Add. To tag a booking, open it and use its Tags card, which needs Edit the calendar. Tap the cross on a tag to take it off.
- 3To filter the client list, tap tags in the Tags row above it. The list shows the clients who have every tag you picked, and you can bookmark the page to come back to that view.
- 4On the calendar, a booking shows its tags as small coloured chips, two and then a count of the rest, or as dots on a short booking. Its panel and its page show them all.
- 5To email a tagged group, open Grow, then Newsletters, write your campaign, and on the Audience step choose Clients tagged with that tag. Only clients who agreed to marketing are emailed.
- 6To rename, recolour or delete a tag, open Change or delete under it on the Tags page. Deleting takes it off every client and booking, asks you to confirm when it is in use, and needs Delete records.
- 7Tags are for your team. They don't show on your booking pages, client emails or the client app, and they are left out of AI assistants and webhooks. Apps you connect with an API key that can see clients or bookings do read them. A client who downloads or asks for their data sees the tags on them, so name tags as you would say them to the client, and keep medical details in the client's record, not in tags.
