# Cancellations and your cancellation window

Set how much notice you need, and protect deposits on late cancels.

## What it is

A cancellation window is the notice you ask clients to give before changing or cancelling. Cancel inside the window and any deposit can be forfeited.

## Why it helps

A clear, fair policy protects your time without feeling harsh, and the deposit rule discourages last-minute drop-offs.

## How to use it

1. Set your cancellation window (in hours) in Settings.
2. Clients see the policy when they book and in their confirmation.
3. When a client cancels, the slot reopens and is offered to your waitlist automatically.
