# Book a service that needs two or more people

Set how many of your team a service needs at once, like two stylists on one client or a couples massage.

## What it is

A service can need 1 to 4 people at the same time. Bookatu only offers a time when that many people who do the service are free together, and the booking goes in each of their columns on the calendar. Every service starts at 1 person, so nothing changes until you set it.

## Why it helps

Two-person treatments stop being two bookings you line up by hand, and nobody on the booking can be double-booked. At checkout each person is credited a fair share, so commission and tips come out right without sums on paper.

## How to use it

1. Open Catalog, then Services, tap Edit on the service and set People needed at once, for example 2 people. Tap Save changes. Changing it needs the Manage permission, which owners and admins have by default. It is not offered for restaurants, classes or add-ons, and the list then shows a tag such as '2 people at once'.
2. On your booking page the client picks one person or anyone, and whoever else does the service and is free joins them. A service like this is always booked on its own, never as part of a visit of several services.
3. On New booking, or when you drag across a staff column on the Calendar, choose the service and the form shows 'Also with:'. Pick each other person or leave Anyone free. The times shown are when they are all free together.
4. The calendar draws the booking in each person's column. Move it from its own person's column; the copy in the others' columns opens the booking but cannot be dragged. Team members who only see their own column still see the bookings they are on.
5. Moving keeps the same people where they are free and finds others where they are not. Cancelling frees everyone on it.
6. Tap Check out as usual. It is one sale with the same total, and each line is shared equally between everyone on the booking, with odd cents going to its own person first. Each person earns commission on their share under their own rule, and tips follow 'How a tip is split' on the Point of sale page, or the amounts you enter at the till.
