Sandboxes
Build and test against the Bookatu API without touching a real business, client or card. Read Testing with a sandbox for how test keys, the outbox and simulated payments work.
Test keys (bk_test_) work only on sandboxes, and live keys (bk_live_) only on live businesses: the other way round is refused with 403 LIVEMODE_MISMATCH. Every answer says which it reached, in livemode.
Sign in to make a sandbox
A sandbox is a test business of your own, with sample staff, services, clients and bookings, and test API keys (bk_test_). Nothing in it is real: its messages go to an outbox, its payments are simulated, and it is never listed anywhere. You don't need a business on Bookatu to make one.
