# Write your blog with the AI you already use

The blog editor can now build a ready prompt for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or any other AI. Paste the answer back and the post fills itself in, for you to review and publish, with no AI credits used. Or connect your AI to Bookatu and run the blog from there.

> **The short version**
>
> - In the blog editor, Use your own AI turns a title and a short brief into a prompt for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or any other AI.
> - Paste the AI's reply back and Fill the post writes the title, excerpt, body, search title, search description and tags.
> - Nothing is saved until you press Save draft or Publish, and it uses no AI credits.
> - Prefer to stay in your AI app? Connect it to Bookatu with an API key and it can draft, update and publish posts, but never delete one.

A blog on your own site gives local clients something to find on Google, and a reason to trust you before they book. The hard part is the writing. Plenty of owners already have an AI they like and know how to talk to. Bookatu's own Write it for me button is still in the editor. Now, if you would rather use yours, the editor meets you halfway.

## The prompt Bookatu builds

Open Blog, in the Grow part of your admin menu, and start a New post, or open one you are working on. At the top of the editor, tap Use your own AI.

Give it a Title, and a few words under What should it cover?: who it is for, the main points, anything to mention. Tap Generate prompt, then Copy prompt.

The prompt is written for the AI rather than for you, so it looks a little technical. It tells the AI:

- Who the post is for: your clients, and people thinking of booking with you.
- Your business name, type, city and language, so it writes in the language of your website.
- To keep the tone plain, warm and practical, and to make no medical or legal claims.
- Not to make up prices, offers, opening hours or staff names, and to leave out client names and personal details.
- How long each part may be, and to reply in a fixed shape Bookatu can read.

Only those public business details go into the prompt. Nothing about your clients ever does.

## Paste the answer back

Paste the prompt into ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or any AI, and copy its whole reply. Back in Bookatu, paste it under Paste the AI's answer and tap Fill the post.

The editor fills in the title, the excerpt and the body. The search title, search description and tags go under Search & sharing. A reply with a bit of chat around the answer is fine. If Bookatu cannot read it, nothing changes, and it asks you to copy the AI's whole reply.

If the post already has words the answer would overwrite, Bookatu asks first: Replace what is there? Choose Yes, replace, or Keep what is there.

## Review, then publish

Filling the post never saves it. The note says Filled in. Review it, then save. Read it the way a client would. Add the details only you know, like your prices or the products you use, because the AI was told not to guess them. Then press Save draft to come back to it later, or Publish to put it on your blog.

The body comes in with the editor's simple formatting: headings, paragraphs, lists, bold and links. Raw HTML does not come through. Add a cover image yourself if you want one.

None of this uses AI credits, because Bookatu is not running the AI. You are, in the app you already use.

> Your AI writes the first draft. You decide what goes live.

## Or run the blog from your AI app

If you work in an AI app that connects to other tools, such as Claude Desktop or Claude Code, you can skip the copying. Bookatu has an MCP server, a standard way for AI apps to connect to the software you use.

Open API & monitoring, in the Settings part of your admin menu, and make a key. For the blog, tick See posts, forms and email drafts and Write posts, forms and email drafts, then tap Create key. Tap Copy config and paste it into your AI app. Your key is already in it, so there is nothing to fill in. Owners and admins can make keys.

Then ask in plain words. Your AI can list your posts, open one, write a new one, update it, publish it or take it off your blog. A new post starts as a draft unless you ask for it to go live straight away.

- It can never delete a post. Removing one stays with you, in the admin.
- Editing a post never changes its web address, so links you have shared keep working.
- A key can do only what its scopes allow. Revoke it on the same page whenever you like.

## Which one to use

Write it for me is the quickest, right inside the editor. Use your own AI suits you if you already have a favourite AI and want to use it. The MCP route suits owners who already do their work in an AI app and would rather ask for a post than open the editor. All three land in the same place: a post you read, change and publish yourself.
